If you are experiencing issues with connecting your monitor to a Surface Laptop using a Surface Dock, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Check Connections
- Ensure that all cables are securely connected to the Surface Dock and the monitor.
- Verify that the Surface Dock is properly connected to the Surface Laptop.
- Make sure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source.
Update Drivers and Firmware
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. Install any available updates for your Surface Laptop.
- Visit the Microsoft Surface Dock support page and download the latest firmware updates for the Surface Dock.
- Install the latest graphics driver updates for your Surface Laptop from the manufacturer's website.
Configure Display Settings
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Under Multiple displays, select Extend these displays or Duplicate these displays as per your preference.
